My Auntie’s Party

“Brian, how about you go eat something and have fun? There are other kids playing in the backyard.”

“It’s not always like that. It’s just that, some people look at homosexuality like it’s a virus or somethin’. I wonder how people would react if a movie about two boys who love each other sexually would be released…”
Again, he didn’t answer, and just watched the movie. I decided to sit next to him and keep him company. After all, I didn’t get to see the movie, but I read the book, and it was amazing, in my opinion. When the movie was over, I noticed a tear coming out of Jacob’s eye. He quickly rubbed his face and told me we should go back to the party, it’s almost dinner time.
We didn’t do much at dinner, besides eating and listening to the grown ups talk.
