There were two z-racks of clothing off to the side, a two-drawer dresser, and a full-length mirror. A vanity was next to that, with all the makeup a teenage girl could ask for. A twin bed with pink and white bedding sat in the other corner, a bookcase of unmarked VHS and DVDs next to a small TV. It almost looked like a bedroom. Ashleigh was confused.

“Go where?” Leah asked again. Ray shrugged as he stepped inside, reaching for Kasey. Leah yanked her closer but Kasey spoke up.
“I’ll go,” she said thickly. Leah didn’t let her go, but Kasey looked at her, almost pleading. Leah slackened her grip and Kasey stepped forward. Ray smiled sweetly.
