Introduction:
Leaving or Staying?
“I’ll never leave you.” He gives me a weak smile. Leaning in he kisses me lightly, whispering against my lips he says “I have to go to meet Mr. Jack. He has a few question about my teaching methods. I’ll be back later, if you aren’t here that is okay. Just take the money from the lock box at ocean view. But if you are I’ll know you love me.”
Looking at him I frown, I couldn’t gather why he would believe that. Why would I leave him, I will love him always. I follow him down stairs were he grabs himself an apple. Looking at me once more he kisses my forehead. He walks out and I stand at the door watching him. Until he pulls out of the drive way and is off down the road.
Sighing I walk back in and close the door. I didn’t know what to do today, Patrick had to be gone most the day working out contracts. Sighing I quickly text James, he is my only other friend. He is 6’0”, has honey brown eyes, copper brown hair, and is of a beautiful caramel skin color. The way it shines under the sun after he’s worked out, makes him even more attractive but Patrick is my dream.
“James… What’s up? Do you want to come over and watch T.V.?” I text as I also text my new friend Amy. “Amy I invited a friend over to hang out do you want to join? If so my address is 156 Red rose Ln” Both James and Amy text back at the same time. “Be there in five”
I rent a movie and order pizza. I run upstairs, put a bra and night shorts on. The bell rings and I rush down stairs. Opening the door I squeal. “James!” Jumping up I wrap my arms around his neck. I hear a throaty chuckle as he pats my back. Letting go I slide down and look up at him. “I invited Amy, from our math class.”
James smiles and nods “she is a pretty thing…” The door bell rings and I turn calmly, answering it I let Amy in. Stopping she looks at James blushing. Her light toned skin cheeks turning bright pink. As her eyes meet with James eyes.
Getting up James walks over and holds his hand out. “Hello Amy.” He say with his biggest whitest smile. “Im James” She just stands there shaking his hand and nodding. Lightly chuckling I have them sit, as I go get them both a soda. I check my phone and see that Patrick texted me. Opening it, and read what it says
“Dear Rae, I’ll be home in a little bit. I hope you are still there. If not I understand, I don’t know what your doing. Maybe you are hanging with James and Amy. Maybe you’re packing to run away.”
Frowning I walk back and look up. James has started the movie. I hand each person a soda, “here you two go…” I say having James scoot over towards Amy. It was so obvious they have feelings for each other. I had picked out a comedy, it was to late for a romance and to early for horror. I didn’t like action.
A little later on my phone buzzes on my lap. Checking it I see that Patrick has texted me again. It reads, “baby? Baby why didn’t you respond? Baby, please say something, Im worried. I need to know your okay.”
I look at the text and cry, a tear hits my phone. It pains me to know that he is worried and unable to focus on work because I didn’t respond. Taking a shaky breath I send a quick response. “I’m okay, just spending time with James and Amy. They seem to have feelings for each other. I understand you may not make it. It’s okay, I’ll save you dinner, and be in bed waiting for you. If you dont make it home before I go to sleep.” It wasn’t that late, but I was tired. It was only 6, I was very tired maybe it was from all the
fun last night.
I look at Amy who was standing, stretching she picks up her small purse. “Im sorry, my mom texted me and I have to go.” She says. Hugging her I whisper, “it’s okay,
see you at school tomorrow.” Pulling back she nods and gives my a soft smile. Sitting back down I put another movie on.
James and I watch movies through out the entire day. Come around 10:30, his mom calls and needs him to drive home. After he drives off, I close the door and lock it. Check all windows, and make sure nobody can come in. I grab a blanket from the downstairs hall closet. Put on an old disney movie and fall asleep.
But not before bring out the lock box from under my bed and writing a note. The note reads, “Patrick, I love you… Always have…Always will… That’s why I gave you the thing in this box…” In the box was a red a black leather collar. The black being a back ground for the red. Engraved in black thread on the red, in Japanese is the word servant.
In the box there, also there is cuffs, a expandable whip, leash, pads for my knees and gloves for my hands. I know that even if he didn’t see it, I loved him. I know that everything I did was for him. Sleeping peacefully, I don’t notice him come in at all.
I must have passed out after James and Amy left. I could feel being lifted and carried up the stairs. Lightly being placed on the bed, I could sense he was still worried about hurting me. I curl up in my sleep.
The next morning I wake and find him fast asleep. Smiling I roll out of bed as quietly as I can. I want to make him a breakfast before we have to go to the school again. I
make french toast, bacon, and eggs. I start the coffee pot for him, so that he can be at school refreshed.
Like always when I cook I listen to music. I sway my hips and move around, not caring if he sees. I feel his hands slide around my waist and angle downward. I jump and slap him, turning around I put my hand on my chest. Frowning I say “Pat? Im so sorry? I didn’t mean to wake you, or hit you.”
He chuckles lightly and lifts my chin. Kissing my lips softly he whispers. “Don’t worry baby, I shouldn’t have scared you..” Kissing my lips again he grabs a plate and sits down. Patrick is old school and reads the newspaper while eating. I dont eat in the morning and it worries him. I assure him I just not hungry. “Raven you never eat in the morning.” He says as we drive towards the school.
Sighing I hang my head, “Im sorry Patrick, Im just stressed out over Jean.” Stopping the car he looks at me, “Rae, she is just a bully. They come and leave… They never stay. I promise one day things will change, you’ll see.” I nod and get out so he can drive around to the teachers parking lot.
Amy comes up to me and gives me a gentle hug. With her is this guy I dont know, smiling she says “this is Marcus…. My brother” Marcus must have been 15 his hair was black, he has blue eyes, he was olive skin toned and he was at least 6’2”. Marcus is a very attractive man. But I would never chose him over Patrick. Looking at Marcus I see some similarities to Patrick like the olive skin, and his hight. Maybe that is why I find him somewhat attractive. Shaking my head I stretch out my hand. “Nice to meet you Marcus…”
Smiling he shakes my hand, “Hi Raven, my sister told me all about you.” I follow Amy and Marcus to Marcus’ first class. After leaving him I tell Amy how I feel. “Amy…. Do you think I will ever be able to find peace? Jean likes to bully me and makes fun of me. Part of me wishes she could feel the pain that she causes me.”
Amy frowns and stops me in front of her locker. “I have something to get real quick.” She says, grabbing a book from the locker. Turning to me she sighs, “look Jean is always going to be a bully, there is something in her life that made her that way. It doesn’t give her the right but it is there, now I do think you’ll find peace. I just dont know how or when.”
We start to walk towards James as she is talking to me. Her words are comforting, and I give her a soft smile. “Thanks Amy,” looking at her then to James. I smile, I know it was just one night but I could tell they would end up together.
Maybe with a little push, they’ll see it. Maybe if James has a party he can invite Amy, she’d like that. Maybe that’s it, maybe a party is how I can get Jean to like me. After all she seems the type to like parties and drinking. Im not a fan but it would defiantly help me if I could prove Im not a total teacher’s pet.
I might just talk to my brother about throwing a pool party. With some beer and whatever else James suggest. I knew it was wrong that I wanted this but maybe Patrick would help me get back at her. Maybe we could do something to her. Like make her puke herself, or I don’t know. I could ask him and James, but I would have to leave Amy out of this part. If she knew she’d be mad at me.
It was a plan, after school I would set in motion the pool party. School ended, Patrick and I got home quickly. I grabed Patrick’s hand stopping him from walking inside. “Pat? I have a question, can I throw a pool party for some kids at school and invite Jean? So I can find away to get back at her?” Smiling my brother leans and kisses my forehead. “Yes”
