5.01 John, Plant, Hermaphrodite Preparation:

John and Diana saw the Medicine Man walk to the circle of earth and dig a hole in the center of the it. He then removed a large seed from one of jugs which he put into the hole and covered it up. He picked up a jug of liquid and poured it over the covered seed. When finished, he stood up and pointed at John.

John trembled when he saw the two men coming toward him. When his restraints were removed, John began struggling and screaming as the men half dragged and half walked him toward the front of the circle with his back facing the villagers. They held him firmly when a large green shoot began pushing upward from the center of the earthen circle with thick stems branching outward. As it grew, the stems divided into more stems and soon its thick foliage of leaves, stems, flowers and glistening stamens had soon the Plant had reached a height of ten feet.

John saw all of the plant’s stems and stamens begin to weave back and forth, coming close to each other then slowly drift apart. He watched their intimate dance with mesmerized eyes as small droplets of nectar formed on the ends of the thick stamens and the tulip shaped flowers began opening and closing. The Plant extended its soft stems toward his nakedness and cried out when he felt the men tighten their grip on his arms and moved him toward the Plant. He when the first leafy stems reach out and began caressing his shoulders and hips. The tips secreted a chemical that was immediately absorbed by his skin and within a few seconds all the apprehensions faded from his mind and were replaced with a sense of attraction for Plant.
