Introduction:
I work part time at this shitty stationery store. My coworkers are complete dick bags, and my boss is an asshat, but there is one redeeming quality to my job. The girls. An old lady ambles toward the checkouts with a handful of pens and pencils.

Rebecca reappears from the stockroom and flashes me a wink, before opening the till up next to me to serve customers.

As I watch the lady walk out the exit, my eyes are drawn to Rebecca.

“I don’t have them” I shrug. “Rebecca’s probably got them.”
“Can you grab them for me, please?”

“Alright.”
I follow the aisles down into the back room in search of Rebecca. But she’s not in the stockroom. I look for her in the cafeteria, but she’s nowhere to be found.
“Where the fuck is she?”
Oh. She might be in the toilet.
I head the to the bathrooms and find that both of the doors are closed, but the engaged sign isn’t ticked on either one.
I turn around to head back to my manager when I hear a soft moan come from the stall I haven’t yet checked.
I inch closer to it, holding my breath. But the only sound is my heartbeat as it beats frenziedly in my chest.
I could have just imagined it, I suppose.
