“You still want me to stay the night, even with Katie here?”, I asked.

The idea of being alone in the house with Katie had my head spinning. I could actually talk to her without feeling like a creep. “Ok, thanks you so much for doing this and please call me if you need anything”, Mary said as she was leaving. Four hours of following written directions quickly passed, and 7:00 was now fast approaching. Having my hands full with the child, I didn’t have a lot of time to prepare for what I would do or say once Katie got home. After setting him down for some sleep, I heard the door shut.
“Hello?”, Katie yelled.

Although I would have loved to answer that question truthfully, I figured I should come up with more suitable answer.
“I don’t really have anything to do. I’ve actually been pretty bored the last few hours. I have no one to hang out with”
I tried to make a sort of sad face while I said that, trying to provoke a reaction from her.
“Aww, poor you! Haha! I’ll hang out with you if you want. Do you want to watch some tv or a movie or something?”
“That sounds great”, I replied.
